Sitting with my morning cup of coffee, I reflexively picked up the Portland Press Herald. I admit it:  I am a news junkie. Then the headline hit me:  “Trump calls for nuclear buildup”.  I felt my pulse quicken.  This shocking and horrifying news threatened to suck me in – as in a  vortex like descent into what has become a daily barrage of ongoing threats from this President Elect. Daylight Savings Time – What does it save?

How did the switch to Daylight Savings Time (DST) impact you ? Some say, it’s just moving the clocks ahead one hour. How bad can that be? On March 13, 2016 – the clocks moved inexorably one hour ahead, and the calendar officially signaled the first day of spring. This should have been a day of celebration. But my body and soul rebelled. Incredible how just one hour profoundly impacted how I felt.

How a horoscope got to me ….

How much credibility do you give to your horoscope?  I admit that I do read the “free edition “ published in the daily Portland Press Herald.  And while this is not the sole basis by which I make decisions and run my life, every once in a while the horoscope makes me sit up and take notice.
